The construction industry significantly contributes to environmental degradation through excessive natural resource extraction and high carbon emissions. This study investigates the potential of using recycled materials in concrete production to reduce carbon emissions and construction waste while maintaining structural integrity. Experimental analysis was conducted on concrete mixtures incorporating recycled aggregate, fly ash, and nano-silica to evaluate their mechanical properties and durability. The results indicate that replacing up to 50% of natural aggregate with recycled aggregate leads to a marginal decrease in compressive strength, which can be mitigated by incorporating nano-silica. Additionally, the use of fly ash enhances sulfate resistance and reduces permeability, improving the overall durability of the concrete. Despite challenges in achieving uniform quality in recycled aggregates, the study demonstrates that optimized concrete formulations can provide a sustainable alternative to conventional materials. The findings contribute to the advancement of eco-friendly construction materials, promoting resource efficiency and environmental sustainability in the construction sector.
